The architecture of community —

And those boxes were monetized.
Housing design emphasizes private ownership over shared living
Public spaces are policed, surveilled, privatized
Digital community is extracted for engagement metrics
Co-housing, land collectives, eco-villages are often zoned out, underfunded, or feared
Childcare, elder care, healthcare are professionalized and unaffordable
Emotional labor is outsourced, intimacy replaced by convenience
You weren’t meant to carry everything alone.
You were simply taught there was no one left to help you.
And then you were blamed for feeling tired.
Humans are communal by design.
We are wired for attunement, resonance, reciprocity.
Our nervous systems co-regulate in groups.
Our deepest healing often happens in witness.
We remember through song, through story, through shared struggle.
Not through algorithms.
Not through endless screens.
And the Earth herself teaches community:
mycelial networks, flocks, rivers, forest layers, migratory flow.
Nothing in nature survives alone.
It thrives together.
This is the ninth cut — the village wound.
They didn’t just take your people.
They replaced them with products.
They replaced gathering with streaming.
Elders with experts.
Communion with consumption.
“Be your own everything,” they said.
But that was never how you were meant to live.
Create tiny circles of trust — even 2 or 3 is enough
Share food, tools, stories — until the illusion of ownership softens
Weave multi-generational connection back into life
Practice presence without purpose — being together for no reason
Design systems that prioritize relational flow over individual optimization
You are not a brand.
You are not a channel.
You are not alone.
You are part of a we that is learning how to remember itself.
